Roomaline Chemaly is a Brooklyn-based cinematographer and creative producer originally from Haiti, known for imagery that captures the essence of their subjects with striking clarity and emotional depth. An NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate, she earned her BFA at the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television with a minor in Business of Entertainment.
Roomaline's work spans film, branded content, commercial, and social media projects, with clients including Ackerley Creative, Barry's, SOTO Method, Peacock, and FX. Across every project, her goal remains the same: to create powerful visual storytelling that leaves a lasting impact. They are especially committed to elevating the stories of Haiti and other underrepresented communities within the media landscape.
Her films have screened at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, the GAZE International LGBTQ Film Festival in Dublin, the New York Shorts Film Festival in NYC, and more.
While at NYU, Roomaline founded Tisch's first club dedicated to supporting women and non-binary people in the entertainment industry, FemmesInFilm. Under her leadership, the club built partnerships with major industry players including HBO, Disney, Hulu, Universal, and NBC, creating real pathways for members to get onto sets and break barriers within the industry.
